چکیده

OBJECTIVEdCirculating levels of NH2-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide (NTproBNP), a marker of acute heart failure, are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the general population. However, there is little information on the potential role of NT-proBNP as a biomarker of vascular complications in type 1 diabetic patients. We investigated whether serumNT-proBNP levels were associated withmicroandmacrovascular disease in type 1 diabetic subjects.

Background Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common cause of major congenital birth defect. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of CHD with serum levels of Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα), Interleukin 6 (IL-6), and B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in infant and children. Materials and Methods The present study was conducted in Heshmat heart hospital and 17 Shahrivar...

N-terminal fragment of probrain natriuretic peptide is associated with diabetes microvascular complications in type 2 diabetes [Corrigendum]

AIM/INTRODUCTION Circulating levels of N-terminal fragment of probrain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) are established as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and mortality in patients with diabetes, as well as in the general population. We sought to examine the possibility of NT-proBNP as a biomarker of microvascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. MATERIALS AND METHODS I...
